  • Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 60*.
  • Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
  • Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
  • Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
  • Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140.

To gain entry into SHB30416 Certificate III in Barbering as an Apprentice, candidates require:

  • To be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with their employer and Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT

Students can undertake this course as non-Apprentices at the Palmerston campus. The fulltime course program is deigned for applicants over the age of 21.

Students must wear work clothing suited to the industry. The Training Salon is a simulated work environment, therefore closed in shoes with non-slip soles are compulsory.

Female uniforms
Black tops are required and can be purchased from the Hairdressing reception. Black tops are to be worn with black pants. No tights or ripped jeans. Price of black tops is $35.00.

Successful completion of the following:

  • an APAC accredited three-year undergraduate psychology sequence or the CDU Bachelor of Psychological Science degree; and
  • a GPA of at least 5.0; and
  • credit in units equivalent to PSY247/PSY248 Research Design and Analysis and PSY347/PSY337 Advanced Research Design and Analysis. If you undertook equivalent units at an institution other than CDU, you will be required to attach your unit outlines to your application.

Applicants who have completed CDU's WPSYG1 Bachelor of Psychological Science (Graduate Entry) plus a three-year bachelor degree are also eligible for entry.

Alternative assessment provisions are available for First Nations Australians who have completed an APAC accredited three-year undergraduate sequence in Psychology.
