Successful completion of a recognised bachelor degree, graduate diploma, master's degree, or equivalent international qualification. Registered nurses who are graduates of a hospital-based program are also eligible for entry

Consideration will be given to applicants who hold a graduate certificate.

Successful completion of one of the following:

• a recognised bachelor degree or a graduate diploma or masters degree in a related area; or
• a recognised bachelor degree plus an honours degree or a graduate diploma or masters degree in a non-related area.

Related areas include: public health, health science, primary health care, medicine, social science or health promotion

Note: Bachelor of Nursing is not an approved degree for this course. Applicants with a degree in this field are encouraged to apply for either the Graduate Diploma of Health Research or Public Health. Applicants with extensive experience in rural and remote practice may be assessed on a case-by-case basis

Applicants who have completed Charles Darwin University's Graduate Certificate of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control (UIDPC1) or Graduate Certificate of Epidemiology (UEPID1) are also eligible for entry.

Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

• Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 60*.
• Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation course.
• Submission of an acceptable personal competencies statement and/or employment experience.
• Defence members with service of 1 year or more at the following ranks (or higher) meet the academic entry requirement for this course:
  • Navy: Seaman, Able Seaman, Leading Seaman
  • Air Force: Aircraftmen/Aircraftwoman, Leading Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman, Corporal
  • Army: Private, Lance Corporal, Corporal
• Current School Leaver Pathways:
  • Best of 3 Year 12 subject grades
  • School recommendation program

Those entering this qualification must be able to demonstrate vocational competence in their proposed training and assessing area. Vocational competence is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

To gain entry into TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, candidates require:

• Digital skills to produce professional business documents to record practical activities and navigate online learning environment via Learnline
• Access to a computer with system requirements as detailed for Learnline
• Access to individual volunteers for simulated individual and groups training
• Access to individual volunteers for simulated assessing competency
• Access to TAE or assessor qualified volunteer

This course is for apprentices who have a Training Agreement (Apprenticeship) with an employer.
There are no entry requirements for students in this qualification, although a basic level of Math and English is required.

This course is also for international students for which English may be a second language; therefore the learner may require additional support in this area. For International students, a minimum IELTS 5.5 score is required.

Students are encouraged to seek employment in the baking industry to assist with skill development of their practical skills in a real-world environment.

To gain entry into UEE33020 Certificate III in Electrical Fitting candidates are required to:

• Be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with an employer and Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT.
• Hold an NT Apprentice Training Licence (Red Card) - https://electricallicensing.nt.gov.au/home

To gain entry into UEE31220 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control, candidates are required to have:

• Completion, or be a 3rd year apprentice, of UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician

OR

• Hold a current A-Grade Electrical Licence (unrestricted)

OR

• Hold a Restricted Electrical Licence endorsed -Instrumentation & Controls-

To gain entry into RII30820 Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations as an Apprentice, candidates require:

• To be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with their employer and Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT.
• Understanding of basic computer skills, to navigate online learning materials and assessments

Students can also undertake this course as non-apprentices.

To gain entry into SHB50121 Diploma of Beauty Therapy, it is preferred that the candidate has completed:

• Year 12 or equivalent education and have completed SHB30115 Certificate III in Beauty Services.
• Successful completion of a pre-enrolment Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment and interview is essential for success in this program.
• Minimum of IELTS 5.5 score for international students.
