The Certificate IV in Engineering - Fabrication and AutoCAD Pathway - is a post-trade course developed for existing engineering tradespeople or apprentices in an engineering trade choosing to study at a higher level during their apprenticeship.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

While there is no qualification entry requirement, it is assumed the learner is either already a tradesperson with access to structured on- and off-the-job training.

It is recommended that applicants have completed Year 11 or equivalent, due to the literacy and numeracy requirements of engineering studies.

It is recommended that learners wanting to enrol in this qualification contact the Engineering department to discuss the entry requirements.

The Certificate III in Painting and Decorating will give you the practical skills to work as a residential or commercial painter or decorator.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

Holmesglen requires all learners to be engaged in a painting and decorating apprenticeship. You must be signed up as an apprentice with your chosen employer and have an Epsilon number stating Holmesglen is your selected training provider.

The Course in Working Safely in the Solar Industry is designed to ensure workers have the skills and knowledge required for the installation of Photovoltaic (PV) systems and solar water systems. We are no longer accepting applications for this course.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

Applicants wishing to enter this qualification will be electricians, plumbers, building practitioners, trades assistants and apprentices across these industries who install solar panel/water collectors.

Minimum language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to Level 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).

Licensed electricians (A Grade) must have:

The Certificate III in Roof Tiling provides apprentices with comprehensive skills and training in roof tiling, including tiling regular and irregular roofs, repairing and renovating tile and slate roofs, and interpreting plans and specifications. The course emphasises workplace safety.

The Grid Connected PV with Battery Storage course provides nationally accredited training for electricians in the installation of grid connected PV battery storage systems.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

This program is for qualified A-Grade electricians with a CEC accreditation for Design and Install Grid Connected PV Systems.

Holmesglen requires all learners to be a qualified electrician or hold an 'Unrestricted Electrician's Licence' or equivalent, issued in an Australian state or territory; and hold accreditation in Design and Install Grid Connected PV Systems, or have provisional Solar Accreditation with the Clean Energy Council.

Holmesglen recommends secondary Year 11 level numeracy and literacy or successful completion of vocational certificate/s to be suitable for this course.

A-Grade Electrician's Licence or hold 'Unrestricted Electrician's Licence' or equivalent issued in an Australian State or Territory; or hold a UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician Trade qualification; and substantial vocational experience.
