The Certificate III in Electrical Fitting is the prerequisite for eligibility of the Energy Safe Victoria Electrical Fitter's Licence and provides the background knowledge and skills required for successful work in the electrical manufacturing industry.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements to this qualification, but as a requirement for this program, Holmesglen requires all learners to be engaged in an Electrical Fitting Apprenticeship. You must be signed up as an Apprentice with your chosen employer and have selected Holmesglen as your selected training provider.
In addition, learners must be at least 16 years of age when enrolling in the program. This requirement meets the minimum age requirements for training and working in the Electrotechnology field in Victoria, determined by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV).
It is recommended that applicants have completed Year 11 or equivalent, due to the literacy and numeracy requirements of electrical studies. Holmesglen recommends all applicants have a minimum of Year 10 English and Mathematics.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
