Entry Requirements
  1. Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
  2. Every applicant shall hold the degree of Bachelor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy with Honours, or have an equivalent qualification or experience acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).

Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDipHighE)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education (PGDipHighE) builds on the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCertHighE). It is a part-time programme consisting of four 30 point papers that can be completed in a minimum of two years and a maximum of four.

  1. Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Convener of the Interdivisional Board of Studies in Higher Education.
  2. Every applicant must
    1. be a graduate and, normally, be engaged in tertiary teaching; or
    2. if enrolling for a programme for an endorsed diploma, be a graduate and, normally, be engaged in clinical teaching at tertiary level; or
    3. have alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Board of Studies.

Postgraduate Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine (PGCertCAvMed)

Master of Public Health (MPH)

The Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is a two-year full-time equivalent qualification that can be completed either as postgraduate public health papers to the value of 120 points plus a 120 point thesis or postgraduate public health papers to the value of 180 points plus a 60 point dissertation.

  2. Every applicant must have satisfied all of the following:
    1. be a graduate with an average grade of at least B or possess an appropriate professional qualification requiring at least three years' full-time tertiary study, acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences); and
    2. provide evidence of ability for advanced academic study.

Master of International Development and Planning (MIDP)

The Master of International Development and Planning is a 12 month (full time) course work Masters degree, that includes a research dissertation.
Entry Requirements
  1. Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Humanities).
  2. Every applicant must normally have at least a bachelor's degree requiring three years of full-time study. Normally an average minimum grade of B is required for entry to the programme.
  3. In exceptional circumstances an applicant who is not a graduate may be considered on the basis of alternative qualifications or satisfactory training and experience. Such preparation must be equivalent to a degree, and the applicant must provide evidence of ability to undertake advanced-level academic study. The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Humanities) may require such an applicant to pass one or more prescribed papers either before admission to or concurrently with the programme.
  4. In considering an applicant's qualifications, regard will be given to the detail of the course of study followed to gain the qualifications, as well as the applicant's performance in the programmes.

Master of Applied Science (MAppSc)

The Master of Applied Science (MAppSc) is a 180-point, coursework postgraduate degree. A candidate would normally be a graduate but the degree is also open to those with other relevant qualifications.

  1. Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sciences).
  2. Every applicant shall have fulfilled one of the following conditions:
    1. be a graduate and have achieved an average grade of at least B in the relevant 300-level papers;
    2. have obtained a Postgraduate Certificate or a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Science with an average grade of at least B;
    3. have equivalent alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Sciences).
  3. In considering an applicant's qualifications, regard will be had to the detail of the course of study followed to gain the qualification, as well as the applicant's performance in the programme.

Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Science (PGDipAppSc)

The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Science (PGDipAppSc) is a two semester programme, which builds on an undergraduate Applied Science degree. It allows people who are currently working to undertake blocks of study - one block for the certificate, a second block to complete the diploma.
