A 4 year Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent, or a 3 year bachelor degree accredited by Engineers Australia at Technologist level or equivalent. Or, graduates from the following University of Canberra degrees: Bachelor of Information Technology, 322AA; or Bachelor of Software Engineering, 560AA; or Bachelor of Science, 392AB with Major in Software Engineering or Network Engineering.

Basic knowledge and skills in ICT (Information and Communication Technology); Basic programming skills.

Admission to this course is competitive. Applications will be assessed on the basis of academic merit, work experience and the number of available places.

Applicants must:
1. have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline.

No Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be offered for any units included in this course.

We recommend that students progressing to this course from the Graduate Certificate in Counselling (SCC401) complete the four Graduate Certificate units before progressing to the Graduate Diploma or Master to ensure a smooth enrolment transition.

Students are required to undergo a National Police check and relevant state-based checks (i.e. Working with Vulnerable People Check, Working With Children Check) as required by each placement agency in order to be accepted for each unit that includes a placement.

This qualification is only available to students transferring from other degrees, offered either by the University of Canberra or approved articulation partners. Students will need to have received at least 24cp of credit prior to admission. In all other aspects, normal UC admission requirements to an undergraduate course will apply.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
A) a completed bachelor degree in any discipline
B) a minimum of two degree level units of anatomy and physiology.

Domestic applicants
Applications from domestic applicants will be accepted on a yearly basis from 1 September of the preceding year and close on 15 October of the preceding year. Applicants who meet the admission requirements will be placed on a waitlist and considered for the interview round in November. Offers will be released from early December. Any applicant who is not successful in December, will remain on a waitlist for further rounds while vacancies exist.

Limited Commonwealth-supported places (CSPs) are available for this course and will be awarded on academic merit. Eligible applicants who are not given a CSP will be recommended for fee-paying (FEE) places.

International applicants
Applications from international applicants will be accepted on a yearly basis from 1 May of the preceding year and close on 15 October of the preceding year. Applicants who are eligible for an offer will be placed on a waitlist and offers will be released in rounds on the first business day of each month commencing in July. Any applicant who is not successful in the round, will remain on a waitlist for further rounds while vacancies exist.

Offers
Offers will clearly indicate a deadline by which applicants must accept. If the offer is not accepted by this date, it will be rescinded. Offers for this course cannot be deferred.
This course has limited places available. Not all applicants who meet the application deadline and requirements may be successful. Early application is advised.

Assumed knowledge for entry is introductory psychology, introductory physics and introductory statistics at bachelor degree level.

It is recommended that students have Mathematics T/Mathematic Applications (ACT) or Mathematics (NSW) and English (major) (ACT) or English Advanced (NSW), or their equivalents. International students need to meet the English language requirements of the University of Canberra. Students should note the assumed knowledge requirements for individual majors and minors when choosing a program of study.

An Australian bachelor degree in an Information and Communication Technology discipline, or equivalent.

If an applicant has an Australian graduate diploma degree, or equivalent, in a relevant Information and Communication Technology discipline, 12 credit points are granted, which equals to one semester's study of the course.

If an applicant has an Australian bachelor degree in a relevant Information and Communication Technology disciplines, or equivalent, plus 3 years relevant working experience in ICT disciplines, 12 credit points are granted, which equals to one semester's study of the course.
