Massey's Master of Agribusiness is an internationally recognised qualification. You will gain the research and professional skills required across the value chain from farm production to food marketing.
Entry Requirements

To enter the Master of Agribusiness you will have been awarded or qualified for:

  • a bachelor's degree in agriculture or a business-related subject with a B+ grade average or higher over the qualifying 300-level courses, or equivalent, or
  • a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with a B+ grade average or higher over the qualifying 300-level courses and at least three years of relevant work experience, or
  • a Bachelor of AgriCommerce/Agribusiness with Honours with Second Class Honours, Division I or higher or equivalent, or
  • a Postgraduate Diploma in Agribusiness with a B+ grade average or higher, or equivalent.

If you are applying with the work experience option, you will supply a curriculum vitae (CV) to support your application.

If you have a Bachelor of AgriCommerce/Agribusiness with Honours or a Postgraduate Diploma in Agribusiness as outlined above, you may apply for credit towards Part One of the qualification in accordance with the limits specified in the Recognition of Prior Learning regulations.

This qualification includes a 90 credit thesis. Please provide a short summary of your research interests (200 words or less) when you apply for this qualification.

Bachelor

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for the Bachelor of Commercial Music, outside of university admission regulations.

However for the Bachelor of Commercial Music (Music Practice) you must register for an audition. You should apply for entry to this degree before registering for your audition and you will be assessed for selection into the programme.

Entry Requirements

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Agribusiness you will have been awarded or qualified for:

  • an agricultural or business-related bachelor's degree, or equivalent, at an appropriate level of academic achievement (normally minimum B- average over 300-level majoring courses), or
  • a bachelor's degree or equivalent and have completed at least three years of relevant work experience.

The Master of Health Service Management gives you the advanced skills to enable you to manage contemporary health issues. If you work or plan to work in the health or disability sector, this qualification will give you an employment advantage.
Entry Requirements

To enter the Master of Health Service Management, you will have been awarded or qualified for:

  • a relevant bachelor's degree, having achieved a grade average of at least a B- in the highest level courses, or equivalent, or
  • a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Service Management with a B- grade average, or equivalent.

Bachelor (Honours)

With a BA (Hons) you will take advanced courses and research in either the subject you studied for your BA, GCertArts or GradDipArts. An honours degree is a highly regarded qualification, showing your in-depth understanding of the arts and their application to the real world.
Entry Requirements

To enter the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) you will have been awarded or qualified for a:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent qualification with a major in the intended postgraduate subject with at least a B grade average over the 200 and 300-level specialisation courses, or close equivalent, or
  • Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in the intended postgraduate subject, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Arts endorsed in the intended postgraduate subject with at least a B grade average over the 200 and 300-level specialisation courses, or close equivalent, or
  • Bachelor of Arts degree followed by a Graduate Diploma of Arts in the intended postgraduate subject with at least a B grade average over the 200 and 300-level specialisation courses, or close equivalent.

To enter the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) (Psychology) you will have been awarded or qualified for a:

  • Bachelor degree with a major in Psychology with at least a B+ grade average in the 300-level Psychology specialisation courses, or equivalent.

Entry Requirements

To enter the Postgraduate Certificate in Science and Technology you will:

  • have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree in the sciences, technology or engineering with a major in the intended postgraduate subject, or equivalent, or
  • a bachelor's degree in the sciences, technology or engineering followed by a Graduate Certificate in Science and Technology comprising approved 300-level courses in the intended postgraduate subject, or
  • any bachelor's degree followed by a Graduate Diploma in Science and Technology comprising approved 300-level courses in the intended postgraduate subject, or
  • have completed extensive relevant practical, professional or scholarly experience equivalent to the undergraduate requirements as approved by the University.

Entry Requirements

This programme is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice you will:

  • have been awarded or qualified for a master's degree in psychology which is approved as meeting Psychologists Board requirements
  • be in employment (paid or unpaid) in a workplace where activities require engagement in psychologically based practice
  • have arranged for approved supervision in the field
  • meet the requirements set down by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as being a fit and proper person to be registered
  • be accepted into the programme by a selection process including the below.

You will need to provide the following documents:

  • verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University
  • the title and abstract of your master's thesis
  • current curriculum vitae or resume detailing your relevant training and experience
  • passport size photograph
  • brief personal statement (500 words or less) which includes your reasons for seeking a career in psychology and may list your perceived strengths and skills you will bring to your studies and training as a psychologist
  • a copy of Criminal Conviction request letters if applicable
  • a supporting statement from whanau/family (optional)
  • contact details of two referees (they will be automatically contacted to supply a confidential reference)

An interview may be required - indicate on your application which location would suit you best if you are shortlisted: Auckland (Albany) or Palmerston North.

If your master's or PhD thesis has not yet been examined, confirmation will be required from your supervisor that your thesis will be submitted no later than the first week in January and is likely to have a passing grade.

Entry Requirements

To enter the Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology you will have:

  • been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree in education, psychology, counselling, social work, speech language therapy, or a related relevant discipline, having achieved a grade average of at least a B in the highest level courses (or equivalent), and
  • passed at least 60 credits of approved psychology courses including at least 45 credits at 200-level or higher. These courses could include social, health, educational, clinical, indigenous, neuro or developmental psychology, brain and behaviour or memory and cognition.

You will need to provide verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University.

Successful completion of the Master of Educational Psychology or the Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology will not give automatic entry into the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational and Developmental Psychology (the internship).

Admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational and Developmental Psychology (the internship) is by selected entry only. To be eligible to apply for this internship, you will have a GPA of B+ or higher in your master's qualification.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Learning Support you will:

  • have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree in teaching, or equivalent
  • hold registration as a teacher with a current practising certificate from the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • have completed at least two years of relevant teaching experience
  • have been selected into the diploma on the basis of an application which may include the assessment of a professional portfolio.

You will need to provide the following documents:

  • a copy of your current curriculum vitae (including education and employment for at least the last five years).
