Other requirements

An offer of admission into the course will be conditional on a student passing: a Civil Aviation Safety Authority approved Aviation English Language Proficiency Test; and obtaining a Class 1 Aviation Medical and an Australian Security Identification Card, in Term 1 of the first year. COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement The COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory to be eligible to attend a WIL placement for this course. Students will be required to provide evidence of having completed a COVID-19 vaccination schedule by the closing date prior to a WIL placement. The vaccine received must be a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia.

Entry Requirements

To be considered for entry into this course, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a completed four-year, or three-year plus a fourth year, Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited sequence in Psychology that satisfies the APAC criteria for pre-professional competencies in psychology, and
• Be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist; or
• Be a currently registered psychologist who can demonstrate current compliance with Registration Board Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

Entry is competitive with limited places available. To be considered for a place within this course, applicants must supply the following documentation:

1. An official academic transcript;
2. A current resume or curriculum vitae that includes employment, relevant experience, research experience and accomplishments;
3. A one-page statement outlining expectations of the course, reasons for applying for entry and including qualities that make you a suitable applicant for clinical psychology training. Applicants who are applying on the basis of current registration and CPD should provide details of this. Please use Times New Roman, size 12 font, with double line spacing;
4. Two references supplied via Heads of Departments and Schools of Psychology Australia (HODSPA) Psychology Reference Portal*

*References must be for the Master of Clinical Psychology course. References for other courses may not be considered.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview (face-to-face or via teleconferencing).

Domestic - While there are no course pre-requisites, Senior English, Senior Science and Senior Mathematics are strongly recommended. Students without Senior English, Senior Science and Senior Mathematics are strongly recommended to undertake one of the following access courses:

• Skills for Tertiary Education Preparatory Studies (STEPS)
• Tertiary Entry Program (TEP)

Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.

There are no other entry requirements for this course.

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) course is open to students who have completed an undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution and who have achieved a GPA of at least 5 (or higher amount set by the School) in a relevant major as well as any specific discipline requirements such as selected perquisites in their undergraduate course.

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must hold one of the following:

• A completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelor degree, or higher equivalent qualification; or
• A completed AQF Diploma with two years relevant* business experience, or
• Five years relevant business* or managerial experience.

*Relevant business or managerial experience includes a working knowledge of how a business operates, for example, budgeting, staffing, project management, financial reporting, process management, or human resources.

Professional experience must be shown in a letter of employment which is presented on a company letterhead as well as signed and dated by a delegated authority. The letter must contain position title, duties performed and length of service.

- A non-accounting undergraduate degree in any discipline from an Australian university, or equivalent from an overseas institution; or

- An AQF equivalent accounting bachelor degree received from an overseas institution or organisation, that does not meet accreditation with an Australian Accounting registration body for associate membership purposes.

Students who have successfully completed the CQUniversity Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting will be eligible to apply for credit for units already completed.
