Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, Core skills required for this course: literacy and numeracy range from levels two to three, It is recommended school leaver students complete the pre-apprenticeship pathway (Certificate II) prior to enrolling, or complete a pre-training assessment for literacy and numeracy of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2, working level 3

Have a demonstrated capacity in reading ,writing, numeracy, oracy and learning to level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), Year 10 Maths and English is recommended. All students are required to attend a compulsory information session before their applications are to be accepted.

Applicants must be 16 years of age or older at the time of course commencement, be a permanent resident or temporary protection/visitor visa holder, and be of a non-English speaking background., Completion of a pre-training assessment for English language and literacy skills is also required, Students who are aged under 17 years require a completed Transition from School form from their school
