This programme is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To enter the Postgraduate Certificate in Educational and Developmental Psychology you will:

  • hold a completed master's degree in education, psychology, counselling, social work, speech language therapy, or a related relevant discipline, with a B average across all courses (or equivalent), and
  • have completed at least 60 credits of approved psychology courses including at least 45 credits at 200-level or higher, having achieved a grade average of at least a B, and
  • have completed sufficient study and research in the area of psychology/educational psychology to be able to satisfy New Zealand Psychologists Board registration requirements, and
  • have completed at least one year of full-time or equivalent part-time professional experience in a field relevant to the certificate.

You will need to provide the following documents:

  • a copy of your current curriculum vitae, including details of your educational and professional qualifications, employment history with dates and descriptions of roles and responsibilities, membership of associations/organisations, and a list of professional publications and research reports
  • a brief summary of research you have undertaken including the title and abstract of your master's thesis if it is not included on your academic transcript or CV
  • verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University.

Successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate in Educational and Developmental Psychology will enable you to apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational and Developmental Psychology (internship).

  • have sufficient background and good standing in professional social work to satisfy the Doctoral Research Committee you have the capacity to successfully undertake the programme.

The Bachelor of Social Work is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To enter the Bachelor of Social Work programme you will:

  • meet the requirements set down by the Social Workers Registration Act 2003 for registration as a social worker in New Zealand in terms of being ""fit and proper persons to practise social work"" - see: swrb.govt.nz/about-us/policies/
  • provide a curriculum vitae which includes your academic and work history
  • provide a personal statement explaining why you wish to enter the social work programme and profession
  • provide details of two character referees - these must not be family or friends
  • provide details of any convictions or charges pending in New Zealand and/or overseas
  • complete the vetting service request and consent form for a New Zealand Police check
  • provide a current police certificate from any overseas countries you have lived in for twelve months or more in the last ten years.
  • undertake an interview (if required).

  • be selected into the programme through an interview and the assessment of a portfolio of submitted work

Entry Requirements

This programme is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To be admitted to the Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts you will:

  • have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, or
  • have demonstrated equivalent practical, professional and/or scholarly experience.

You will also need to:

  • take part in an interview at which you demonstrate readiness to undertake your desired course of study
  • submit a satisfactory portfolio of work to show you are at the standard necessary to undertake work up to 300-level and beyond
  • provide verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities.

The Master of Sustainable Development Goals focuses on the theory and practice of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme addresses the most pressing imperative facing humanity and the planet: sustainability. This degree is unique in Australasia.

Masters (Coursework)

The Master of Construction at Massey University is a unique degree. It focuses on building in-depth knowledge of specific aspects of construction. It is the only qualification in New Zealand that has specifically developed postgraduate construction courses.
Entry Requirements

To enter the Master of Construction (thesis pathway) you will:

  • have been awarded or qualified for a construction related four year Bachelor with Honours degree or a Bachelor of Construction (Honours) or equivalent qualification with a minimum grade average of B over the contributing courses for the Honours year; or
  • have been awarded or qualified for a relevant Bachelor's degree followed by a relevant Postgraduate Certificate with a minimum grade average of B+ over the contributing courses for the Postgraduate Certificate, or equivalent.

To enter the Master of Construction (coursework pathway) you will::

  1. have been awarded or qualified for the Bachelor of Construction or equivalent qualification with a minimum grade average of B across the highest level courses; or
  2. have been awarded or qualified for the Bachelor of Construction or equivalent qualification and have completed at least two years of relevant professional experience; or
  3. have been awarded or qualified for a construction related four year Bachelor with Honours degree or a Bachelor of Construction (Honours) or equivalent qualification; or
  4. have been awarded or qualified for the Bachelor of Construction followed by the Postgraduate Diploma in Construction or equivalent qualification with a minimum grade average of B over the contributing courses for the Postgraduate Diploma; or
  5. have been awarded or qualified for a relevant Bachelor's degree followed by a relevant Postgraduate Certificate with a minimum grade average of B over the contributing courses for the Postgraduate Certificate, or equivalent.

If you are admitted into the thesis pathway, or the coursework pathway under 3, 4 or 5 above, you may apply for credit towards Part One of the qualification in accordance with the limits specified in the Recognition of Prior Learning regulations.

Bachelor

Massey is the only university in New Zealand to offer five ITC-related majors in the same degree. This allows you to mix and match courses to suit your strengths and interests. Enjoy smaller classes with individual attention from lecturers.

There are no specific entry requirements for this programme, outside of university admission regulations.

If you have excellent achievements in NCEA and prior programming experience (through the successful completion of courses and participation in competitions like STAR, NCSS or the ACM SPPC) you will be considered for direct entry into second-year computer science courses. You may also be eligible to participate in software development projects.

Note: This programme has specialisations that may have an on-campus or in-person requirement and therefore requires that students submit a current My Vaccine Pass on enrolment. Studying for your master's is a challenging and satisfying postgraduate experience.
Entry Requirements

To enter the Master of Science you will have been awarded of qualified for:

  • the Bachelor of Science degree with a major in the intended postgraduate subject, or equivalent, with a minimum B average in the majoring 300-level courses, or
  • the Bachelor of Science with Honours, in the intended MSc subject, having achieved a B grade average over the contributing courses and a B grade in an approved research methods course, or
  • the Postgraduate Diploma in Science and Technology in the intended MSc subject, having achieved a B grade average over the contributing courses and a B grade in an approved research methods course, or
  • the Postgraduate Certificate in Science and Technology in the intended MSc subject, having achieved a B grade average over the contributing courses and a B grade in an approved research methods course.

You must submit an approved research supervision plan with your application. This means you need to secure the agreement of a suitable supervisor for your agreed research topic.

If you have a Bachelor of Science (Honours), Postgraduate Diploma in Science and Technology, or Postgraduate Certificate in Science and Technology as outlined above, you may apply for credit towards Part One of the qualification in accordance with the limits specified in the Recognition of Prior Learning regulations.
