However, if you have achieved a 'satisfactory' result for one or more component of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) at another institution, the 'satisfactory' result can be carried across with your program application. You are not eligible to apply for a place in the program if one or more component of LANTITE remains at 'unsatisfactory' after two test attempts for that component. Griffith University does not support reset of LANTITE test attempts.

To apply for admission into the Master of Health Services Management, a student should:

  • hold a suitable Bachelor degree in a related field (Public Health, Health Services Management, Environmental Health, Allied Health, Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Clinical, Research and Biomedical Health) OR
  • hold a suitable Level 8 qualification (Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Bachelor Honours Degree) in a related field (Public Health; Health Services Management; Environmental Health; Allied Health, Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Clinical, Research and Biomedical Health). Students admitted with one of these qualifications will be admitted to the Master of Health Services Management with Advanced Standing and required to complete an 80 credit points Masters OR
  • have completed one of the following Griffith Graduate Certificates*:
    • Graduate Certificate in Digital Health (3336)
    • Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management (3082) or Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management (3317)

* Students applying for admission via this pathway may be eligible for Advanced Standing or specified credit of up to 40 credit points depending on courses completed in the Griffith Graduate Certificate in Health Services Management program. Credit applications for other Graduate Certificate programs are assessed individually and will require assessment of similarity in learning outcomes.

Applicants with extensive experience in health services management who do not hold qualifications listed in the requirement s above may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Health Service Management, Graduate Certificate of Digital Health or Graduate Certificate in Clinical Leadership, with progress to the Master of Health Services Management being dependant on a minimum pass grade in all courses.

The University's Bachelor Honours Degree (AQF Level 8) Policy will apply.

Students who have completed Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282) or equivalent program are eligible to apply for admission to this program. Students will undertake the 30 credit point dissertation in Years 3 and 4 as determined by the Program Director and subject to the following criteria:

  • completion of Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282) or equivalent program;
  • achievement of a GPA of at least 5.5 for the second year core courses in the Bachelor of Social Work (1372) or Bachelor of Social Work (1282); and
  • achievement of a grade of at least 5.0 in 2002HSV Human Services Research or equivalent research course.

The Program Director will take the following into consideration when assessing applications for admission:

  • the suitability of the proposed dissertation topic; and
  • the resources available to support the candidature including availability of appropriate supervision.
