Chisholm Institute Courses

All applicants are required to complete BSKB and must obtain exit level 3 in both literacy and numeracy (working at level 4)., Apprentices must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, Students need to be able to complete manual tasks associated with therapy assistance and should have a proficient level of physical fitness to be able to complete the course

Have a demonstrated capacity in numeracy, oracy and learning to level 2 and reading and writing to level 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF)

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age at the time of commencement, The program consists of aquatic skillsets, which require applicants to be competent swimmers, Trainees must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer, Working with Children Check (volunteer) and police checks are a compulsory requirement for practical placement.

Have a demonstrated capacity in reading ,writing, numeracy, oracy and learning to level 2 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), Year 10 level of maths and english preferred

All applicants are required to attend an interview, Applicants must complete the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) assessment and achieve an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3 for literacy and numeracy., Be physically and mentally capable of engaging professionally with children, families, and colleagues for approximately 7.5 hours x 9 days per fortnight, Be physically capable of sustaining CPR for at least two (2) minutes on the floor to successfully complete the requirements of the course, Parental agreement for students under 18 years of age required, Please note: All students need to be able to obtain a volunteer Working With Children Check prior to undertaking work placement., Students who are aged under 17 years require a completed Transition from School form from their school, Trainees must have a Registered Training Agreement with their employer
