Chisholm Institute Courses

Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the time of commencement of the course, Applicants must complete the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) assessment and achieve an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3 for literacy and numeracy., Applicants need to have a basic knowledge of the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Internet and email use and have access to a computer or tablet, Meet the language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) standards.

All applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of course commencement and complete the Basic Knowledge Skills Builder (BKSB) assessment and meet Exit level 3 (working at level 4) for both literacy and numeracy., Applicants must also attend an interview., Please note: All students need to obtain a clear volunteer Working with Children Check prior to undertaking work placement. Students who are unable to complete work placement, will be unable to successfully complete the requirements of the course.

Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3, for both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of commencement of the course, Please note: Students need a valid Working with Children Check (volunteer), a clear national police check and immunisations to undertake practical placement., Students need to be able to complete manual tasks associated with equipment tray handling and should have a proficient level of physical fitness to be able to complete the course, Students will be unable to successfully complete the course without completing placement.

All applicants to complete BKSB and must obtain ACSF exit level 2 (working at level 3) in both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must be at least 16 years of age at the time of commencement, Please note students will be required to undertake manual handling, inlcuding heavy lifting of up to 8kg, use restaurant tools, move furniture and be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hour blocks.

Completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of numerical skills (ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3), writing skills (ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3), Students who are unable to undertake placement will be unable to successfully complete the course.

All applicants to complete BKSB and must obtain ACSF exit level 2 (working at level 3) in both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must be 18 years or over, it is expected that all students participate and engage in the practical application of fitness programming as well as receiving prescribed fitness programs from fellow students, the role of a gym instructor requires the physical capability to set-up and move heavy exercise equipment, this course requires a fundamental level of physical strength and fitness

Applicants must be 17 years and 3 months, of school leaving age or have a transition from school form. All students under 18 years of age must have parental agreement., Applicants must be able to converse with children, families and colleagues in the English language., Applicants must complete 100 hours of work placement within an education setting, as this is a requirement of the course. Placement requires students to engage professionally with children, families and colleagues often in a full-time capacity, applicants must successfully complete BKSB before the enrolment, achieving English Exit Level 3 and Maths Exit level 2, Complete an induction session/ selection interview, Students are required to have a current Working with Children check as it will be required for professional workplace experience, students to satisfy eligibility criteria if the candidate wishes to access government funding (VTG, VET Student Loans etc) or student visa application requirements including genuine student requirements

Applicants must successfully complete BKSB assessment with an outcome of exit level 2 (working at 3) for literacy and exit level 1 (working at 2) for numeracy, It is recommended applicants are 18 years or over

All applicants must be at least 18 years of age at time of course commencement. Applicants need to have sufficient mobility and dexterity to navigate simulated building sites (including working at heights) and manual handling of Waterproofing materials, tool and equipment., Entry requirements are ACSF exit level 1 - working level 2 for literacy, numeracy and reading, In addition, this course entails students handling and applying hazardous waterproofing chemicals., Students must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, eye protection and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)) for prolonged periods.
