Entry Requirements Completion of an Australian university three year bachelor degree in any area (or equivalent) and completion of the Graduate Diploma of Counselling at USQ and: have a grade point average (GPA) of 5 or higher from the courses in the Graduate Diploma of Counselling (USQ) (or equivalent); and provide two satisfactory Referee Reports and a report to address the Selection Criteria indicating the applicant's abilities to successfully undertake the professional and research components of the program; and participate in an interview with a panel of School staff. Staff will also take into account dispositional and behavioural characteristics observed in previous USQ residential schools from the Graduate Diploma in Counselling. There are two different admission requirement processes depending on whether the student is studying stream 1 – the qualifying Master of Counselling, or stream 2, the Master of Counselling (Advanced Practice). Entry Requirements Completed a 3-year bachelor degree in the area of nursing from an Australian university, or equivalent. Hold a current Professional Registration as a Division 1 nurse, or equivalent, with either Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant regulatory body in applicant's home country.   A minimum of one years' professional work experience. English Language Requirements You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6. 5 or equivalent. Admission pathways A formal process of Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) will be used to assess registered nurses, without bachelor degrees, who wish to gain entry to the program on the basis of equivalent experience or qualifications. (You will be required to provide a certified copy of your Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent. ) Provide evidence of current registration as a nurse with a Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) certificate. Interview with Midwifery program representative and a service provider representative to demonstrate ability to commit to the requirements of the program (currently Tasmanian students only). Satisfaction of admission requirements does not guarantee admission. Places within the Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) program are limited by quota. Selection from applicants who met admission requirements will be based on ranking by GPA from previous Nursing studies. Quota size is determined by the availability of hospital placements. Where the quota is filled, no further places will be offered.
