The building industry has a growing need for design professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in their discipline and the ability to collaborate effectively with other designers, investors, contractors, and project managers, through knowledge of whole-building design and performance, integrated design of sustainable buildings, and digital methods for planning, designing, constructing, and operating buildings.
This Master's is a practice-focused degree for students with engineering or architecture backgrounds to gain professional, work-ready building design skills. There is also a part-time option available for those working in the industry and wanting to upskill.
You can receive your master's in the following endorsements:
You will need to have achieved a bachelor's degree with First or Second Class Honours in a subject related to building design, or equivalent; or a postgraduate diploma in an equivalent subject.
Those with a Postgraduate Certificate in Architectural Engineering with a B Grade Point Average or better can also apply for admission to the Master of Architectural Engineering.
It is strongly advised to have at least one year of professional practice experience before applying. You will be approved entry based on the standard of your previous studies and work experience.
Those who do not meet the minimum requirements may be considered for entry to the Postgraduate Certificate in Architectural Engineering.
If English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.
