To enter this programme, you'll need one of the following:
- 36 credits at NCEA Level 2 plus 12 credits at NCEA Level 1 in a relevant science subject
or
- The New Zealand Certificate in Animal Care (Level 3) - Companion Animals
or
- An equivalent qualification.

- If you're over 20 and have relevant skills/life experience, or
- If you're under 20 and have the relevant reading, writing and numeracy skills.
