If you are entering this course as an apprentice/trainee you must:

- be employed in the auto industry
- be an Apprentice or Trainee under the Australian Apprenticeship Scheme (AAS) and be registered with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.

If you already have skills in this area, you may seek recognition for all or part of this course.

To enter this qualification, students must produce a folio of imaging work that demonstrates the application of technical skills and knowledge equivalent to Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level 4 or above.
Skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience, or through formal study.
Achievement of CUA41120 Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging prior to enrolment in this course is desirable.

If you are entering these courses as a trainee under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.

It is a requirement of this course that students are employed in the industry and assisting in drainage installations. Students need a letter of support from the employer confirming that they are employed in the industry and assisting with draining installations.

It is highly recommended that you have CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry before entering a construction worksite as well as a Statement of Attainment - Course in Asbestos Awareness 10675NAT.

It is recommended that applicants have experience using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or complete the subject Design and produce spreadsheets BSBTEC302.

As you are entering this course as an Apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.

You must:
- be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10 (early in your course your skills will be checked - if you cannot read and write documents and complete maths work to the level needed, you will be enrolled in additional subjects to help you build the skills needed to successfully complete the course).
- be an Apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.
