Prepare to become a professional engineer in the maritime engineering industry. You’ll learn to design and manage the building of maritime vehicles, coastal engineering projects, port and harbour facilities, and offshore oil and gas installations. The first two years of the degree provide a common entry pathway to specialise in naval architecture, ocean engineering, or marine and offshore systems.
This program will provide you with vocational training in music skills in a principal study area, as well as the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in either performance, contemporary studies, digital and music technology skills or composition options depending on your specialisation.

having successfully undertaken tertiary studies in music at or above Diploma level to the equivalent of at least one year of study.

You must be employed in a training contract by an appropriate organisation to study an apprenticeship or traineeship.
In a traineeship you also gain hands-on skills and work experience, and improve your employment prospects, while earning a wage. On successful completion you will gain a nationally recognised qualification which can lead to rewarding career options. The difference between a traineeship and an apprenticeship is that a traineeship can be either a full time or part time employment based training arrangement, usually for a nominal duration of 12 months or more, generally in a non-trade related area.

To be eligible for admission to the Doctor of Arts you must have a minimum of five years' recent, full-time employment or professional experience in a relevant field and completed the equivalent of one of the following in a subject area related to your proposed research area:
bachelor's degree with first class or second class honours or, a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney with a substantial portfolio of published / professional work (such as books, films, TV programs, creative work and / or government reports) equivalent to or greater than an undergraduate honours thesis; or
a master's degree.
