This programme is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.
We are looking for creative, enthusiastic and dedicated students who demonstrate skill and passion for design and the visual arts.
To enter the Bachelor of Design with Honours programme you will:
submit a portfolio (if you do well in NCEA Level 2 art, design or technology (or equivalent) you may not need to submit a portfolio. See details below.)
Develop expertise in interaction design for a range of contexts, technologies and platforms. Work on a variety of design projects and access our outstanding facilities.
The Bachelor of Graphic Design/Pathway to Teaching Secondary is a three year degree specifically designed to lead into the Master of Teaching (Secondary), an accredited postgraduate teaching degree.
The Certificate III in Visual Arts is a great place to begin your training as a visual artist. The Certificate III in Visual Art develops a range of visual art skills. Foundation skills in painting, drawing, printmaking, silver-smithing, creative process and basic design are offered in this course.
Entry Requirements
Completion of the bksb (Basic Key Skills Builder) online literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment, unless the student has completed an equal or higher level course.
