    Pre-requisites

    To study this degree we assume you have sound knowledge in:

    • English (Units 3 & 4, C), and
    • General Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)

    We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12). Find out more about assumed knowledge.

    • With no formal university qualification, you will require at least 5 years' relevant professional work experience at management or supervisory level which is equivalent of an Australian bachelor degree (AQF Level 7).

    Applicants who have not completed a 3-year bachelor degree, but have a minimum of 5 years' professional work experience in business with at least 1 year's management or supervisory level experience, or equivalent, may apply for entry and be assessed on a case by case basis.

    Domestic students Academic requirements

    You must have completed at least one of the following:

    • A recognised bachelor's degree (or higher) in a relevant discipline with merit achievement deemed to be a grade average of B- or higher; or
    • A professional qualification in a relevant discipline, recognised as being equivalent to merit achievement in a bachelor's degree or equivalent; or
    And meet one of the English entry requirements;
    • University Entrance Literacy: 8 credits at Level 2 or above in English or Maori (4 in Reading, 4 in Writing); or
    • Evidence of English language proficiency as outlined in the NZQA Rules on the Unitec English Language Requirements for International Students Web-page.
    Non-Academic requirements
    • Provided sufficient evidence of aptitude or appropriate work or other life experience that would indicate a successful outcome in the qualification.
