Fire engineers specialise in the application of science and engineering principles to protect people and their environment from destructive fire.
Entry Requirements
You will normally need to have completed one of the following:
Bachelor of Engineering with Honours with First or Second Class Honours
Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering with a GPA of 5 or more
Bachelor of Science with Honours in appropriate subjects.
You must have completed both the academic and non-academic requirements of your prerequisite degree. This includes practical work days, work reports, a workshop training course, and a first aid certificate. The programme of study must be approved.
IF English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.

How to apply
You will need to complete an application form for the MEFE from Te Kaupeka Puhanga | Faculty of Engineering website.
Applications for admission are considered twice each year (June and December) for studies commencing in February of the following year. Numbers are limited each year. Applications received during the year will be considered in the next application round. It is recommended that international students apply by June.

To enter the Master of Food Technology you will have been awarded or qualified for:
a bachelor's degree in food engineering, food science or food technology, with a minimum B grade average over the 200- and 300-level courses, or equivalent, or
a Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours having achieved at least Second Class Honours, or equivalent.
You will also provide a short summary of your research interests (200 words or less) with your application.
You will need to provide verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University.

To enter the Master of Dairy Science and Technology you will:
have been awarded or qualified for either a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, Bachelor of Science with Honours, a Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours, or equivalent, and
have approved employment in the New Zealand dairy industry to facilitate the requirements of courses 141.751 Dairy Products Technical Projects and 141.848 Dairy Science and Technology Research Project.

To enter the Executive Master of Business Administration programme you will:
have been awarded or qualified for a relevant bachelor's degree, or equivalent
have at least seven years business experience, at least three of which must be at management level.
You will be selected into the programme on the basis of the selection process.
