Chemical engineering is all about changing raw materials into useful products we use every day in a safe and cost-effective way. Chemical engineers create and develop the processes to produce, change or transport products and materials.
Chemical engineers sustain and improve industries as diverse as food processing, petrochemicals, ceramics, petroleum refining, primary metals, plastics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, glass and specialty chemicals. Our Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Chemical) is suited to engineering graduates and...
Fire engineers specialise in the application of science and engineering principles to protect people and their environment from destructive fire.
Entry Requirements
You will normally need to have completed one of the following:
Bachelor of Engineering with Honours with First or Second Class Honours
Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering with a GPA of 5 or more
Bachelor of Science with Honours in appropriate subjects.
You must have completed both the academic and non-academic requirements of your prerequisite degree. This includes practical work days, work reports, a workshop training course, and a first aid certificate. The programme of study must be approved.
IF English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.
For the full entry requirements, see the Regulations for the Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering or use the admission requirements checker.
How to apply
You will need to complete an application form for the MEFE from Te Kaupeka Puhanga | Faculty of Engineering website.
Applications for admission are considered twice each year (June and December) for studies commencing in February of the following year. Numbers are limited each year. Applications received during the year will be considered in the next application round. It is recommended that international students apply by June.
