Course structure

To qualify for the double degree of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Chemical)/ Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Science, the student must complete satisfactorily a program of study consisting of the following requirements with a combined total of not less than 120 units, comprising:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Chemical) courses to the value of 96 units, Core courses up to the value of at least 72 units and Elective courses of at least 3 units, with the option of a major in:
    • Minerals Processing
    • Pharmaceutical Engineering
    • Food and Beverage Engineering
  • Bachelor of Mathematical and Computer Sciences courses to the value of 24 units as specified to provide a double degree with a major in either:
    • Computer Sciences, or
    • Mathematical Sciences
  • A total of 8 weeks of approved engineering work placement is required.
