Entry Requirements
Open to people working in the wind industry or those seeking a career in the wind industry. It is recommended that participants are physically fit and able to work at heights.
Please note that Day one of the course is mandatory and you cannot attend subsequent days without attending day one. If you are unable to attend the first day, please contact our Short Courses team on 1300 244 746 or email shortcourses@chisholm.edu.au five days prior to course commencement.
Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age at the time of course commencement and have a disability and/or special learning needs. Applicants are also required to complete an assessment for literacy and numeracy.
Must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI), complete a pretraining review prior to enrolment and satisfy eligibility criteria if the candidate wishes to access government funding
The Certificate I in Work Education is intended to support post compulsory school age learners with permanent intellectual disabilities to explore work options and access pathways to further specific vocational education and training.

Applicants are required to undertake a Pre-Training Review to help confirm the course is suitable. Applicants must be willing to provide a Working with Children Check prior to undertaking placement and are responsible for all costs associated. Applicants must be willing to obtain a current clear Police Check prior to undertaking placement and are responsible for all costs associated. Applicants must be willing to provide proof of their up-to-date immunisation status including Covid-19 to employers to undertake practical placement, if requested. Applicants will be interviewed by the department as part of the Pre-Training Review. Applicants must also provide evidence of a permanent cognitive and/or intellectual disability as outlined in the training package.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals in a variety of junior administrative positions who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context.
