Whether you work in an office, a shop, a warehouse, or factory, there are basic skills needed across all industries. This course will provide you with a wide range of skills and knowledge to help you succeed in the modern workplace.

In this course, you'll learn how to communicate in the workplace, how to work as a member of a team, as well as how to manage your time well. You will also learn how to plan, organise and complete routine work tasks.

This course covers how to start up and use a range of basic functions on computers and other digital devices. You'll gain experience in creating and saving digital documents such as word processing and spread sheets, and common software. You will also learn how to receive, process and store workplace information, and maintain information systems. This course also includes using digital technology to communicate remotely, such as email and instant messaging.

Through this course, you will recognise the importance of workplace health and safety, and learn ways to look after your own wellbeing. You will also learn about things you can do to be environmentally sustainable in the workplace.
