To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Arts you will :

• have gained a relevant bachelor's degree with a grade average that demonstrates an adequate level of preparation
• be selected into the programme through an interview and the assessment of a portfolio of submitted work
• have an appropriate level of English language proficiency.

To enter the Postgraduate Certificate in Planning you will have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree.

To enter the Postgraduate Certificate in Emergency Management, you will have been awarded or qualified for:

• a Graduate Diploma in Emergency Management with at least a B grade average, or
• a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management, with at least a B grade average, or
• an undergraduate degree and at least two years of relevant industry/professional experience.

To enter the Postgraduate Certificate in Business you will have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree, with a minimum B- grade average in the highest level courses.

The Bachelor of Social Work is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To enter the Bachelor of Social Work programme you will:

• meet the requirements set down by the Social Workers Registration Act 2003 for registration as a social worker in New Zealand in terms of being ""fit and proper persons to practise social work"" - see: swrb.govt.nz/about-us/policies/
• provide a curriculum vitae which includes your academic and work history
• provide a personal statement explaining why you wish to enter the social work programme and profession
• provide details of two character referees - these must not be family or friends
• provide details of any convictions or charges pending in New Zealand and/or overseas
• complete the vetting service request and consent form for a New Zealand Police check
• provide a current police certificate from any overseas countries you have lived in for twelve months or more in the last ten years.
• undertake an interview (if required).

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy you will have completed a Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy or the Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy with Honours, having achieved a grade average of at least a B.

To enter the Graduate Diploma (Marketing) you will have:

• been awarded or qualified for an advanced diploma or associate degree, or equivalent;
• achieved an overall academic score of 5.5 in an IELTS assessment, with no band score less than 5.0. or equivalent TOEFL score.

This programme is a 'selected entry' programme. This means as well as applying you will need to provide additional material as part of your application.

To enter the Bachelor of Nursing you will hold a current First Aid Certificate from an approved provider.

You will be selected into the programme on the basis of a process which includes providing:

• a personal supporting statement of about 300 words explaining why you wish to enter the nursing programme and profession, including why you feel you would make a good nurse. List any personal characteristics you have that demonstrate your suitability.
• a curriculum vitae of approximately three pages, which should include your academic and work history
• provide details of two character referees - these must not be family or friends
• if you are applying straight after completing secondary school (or a course at a private training establishment) you will supply a confidential report from your school or institution
• complete the vetting service request and consent form for a New Zealand Police check - a criminal record check under the Criminal Records (Clean Slate) Act 2004
• provide a current police certificate from any overseas countries you have lived in for 12 months or more in the last 10 years
• complete the Health and Disability Declaration.
• An interview may be required.

To become a registered nurse, you will also have requirements during and at the end of your study.

To enter the Postgradute Diploma in Nursing you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, and
• have New Zealand Nursing Council registration or equivalent.

There are no specific entry requirements for this programme, outside of university admission regulations.

If you have excellent achievements in NCEA and prior programming experience (through the successful completion of courses and participation in competitions like STAR, NCSS or the ACM SPPC) you will be considered for direct entry into second-year computer science courses. You may also be eligible to participate in software development projects.

There are no specific entry requirements for the Bachelor of Commercial Music, outside of university admission regulations.

However for the Bachelor of Commercial Music (Music Practice) you must register for an audition. You should apply for entry to this degree before registering for your audition and you will be assessed for selection into the programme.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Science you will have been awarded or qualified for a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, or an equivalent qualification.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching you will have:

• been awarded or qualified for a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent; and
• been awarded or qualified for a relevant professional qualification; and
• have completed at least two years of relevant professional experience.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work programme you will:

• have been awarded a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Social Work with Honours or equivalent.

This programme is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Practice you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a master's degree in psychology which is approved as meeting Psychologists Board requirements
• be in employment (paid or unpaid) in a workplace where activities require engagement in psychologically based practice
• have arranged for approved supervision in the field
• meet the requirements set down by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as being a fit and proper person to be registered
• be accepted into the programme by a selection process including the below.

You will need to provide the following documents:

• verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University
• the title and abstract of your master's thesis
• current curriculum vitae or resume detailing your relevant training and experience
• passport size photograph
• brief personal statement (500 words or less) which includes your reasons for seeking a career in psychology and may list your perceived strengths and skills you will bring to your studies and training as a psychologist
• a copy of Criminal Conviction request letters if applicable
• a supporting statement from whanau/family (optional)
• contact details of two referees (they will be automatically contacted to supply a confidential reference)

An interview may be required - indicate on your application which location would suit you best if you are shortlisted: Auckland (Albany) or Palmerston North.

If your master's or PhD thesis has not yet been examined, confirmation will be required from your supervisor that your thesis will be submitted no later than the first week in January and is likely to have a passing grade.

This programme is a selected entry programme. This means there are a number of extra requirements you must meet.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Learning Support you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a bachelor's degree in teaching, or equivalent
• hold registration as a teacher with a current practising certificate from the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
• have completed at least two years of relevant teaching experience
• have been selected into the diploma on the basis of an application which may include the assessment of a professional portfolio.

You will need to provide the following documents:

• verified copies of all academic transcripts for studies taken at all universities other than Massey University
• a copy of your current curriculum vitae (including education and employment for at least the last five years). This CV should include details of your educational and professional qualifications, employment history with dates and descriptions of roles and responsibilities, membership of associations/organisations and a list of professional publications and research reports.
• a copy of your current practising certificate issued by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in International Development you will:

• have been awarded or qualified for a Bachelor of Arts with a major in development studies, or equivalent (eg Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Social Anthropology or Sociology), with a minimum B- average across the 300-level courses, or
• a bachelor's degree with a B- average across the 300-level courses along with relevant field or industry experience of an appropriate kind and duration.
