<div><p>Dual Enrolment programmes are FREE if you're in Years 11, 12 or 13 and a great way to earn NCEA credits and get a feel for tertiary study, while you're still at school.</p>    <p>This programme provides the opportunity to gain basic electrical skills and knowledge to either enter a pre-trade programme or employment into the electrical industry as an apprentice. It's also a good grounding for work in the security systems and audio industries.</p>    <p>The programme covers: electrical theory; legislation and regulations; testing and safety; first aid; basic electric motors; basic use of tools; numeracy and literacy for the electrical industry.</p>    <p>This programme is delivered two days per week (Thursdays and Fridays 9:00am - 3:00pm).</p>    <p>Location: Woolston</p>    <p>*Places are limited and funding is dependent on availability. Some courses may incur costs, depending on the learner's eligibility. Part-time 1 year (while still at school). </p></div>

<div><p>In your first year of study you will develop knowledge in business strategies and operations with core subjects in accounting, business communication, commercial law, business heritage, culture and sustainability, marketing, computing, management and applied research.</p>  <p>This degree will equip you with a broad range of professional and marketing skills, enabling you to be a dynamic force in the world of sales and marketing.</p>  <p>The first year of this degree will develop your knowledge in core aspects of business including accounting, business communication, commercial law, business heritage, culture and sustainability, computing, management and applied research.</p>  <p>You will focus on sales and marketing in the second and third years and will gain the specialist skills to be able to sell like a professional. Your study includes:</p> <ul> <li>Consumer Behaviour - Develops knowledge of active marketing and communication strategies to reach consumer and organisation markets.</li> <li>Market Development and Sales - Applies the principles and practices to successfully manage the sales function.</li> <li>Marketing Planning and Control - Covers production of an operational marketing plan.</li> <li>International Marketing - Develops understanding of global perspectives and challenges.</li> <li>Strategic Marketing - Evaluates and cultivates strategic thinking capacity.</li> </ul> <p>Cooperative Education Project - with this aspect of our programme you will work 'hands-on' within a real business environment applying your learning for a minimum of 400 hours. Graduate Diploma in Marketing and Sales

<div><p>Our Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEngTech) Electrical Major is a three year degree comprising of core and elective courses, with a focus on the design and implementation of engineering technology. The BEngTech (Electrical) is fully accredited by Engineering New Zealand (EngNZ) and is recognised internationally under the Sydney Accord.</p> <p>In your first year of study you'll develop core engineering skills in computing, mathematics, management and the engineering sciences, plus some discipline-specific topics. This forms the foundation upon which you will build your degree. Critical thinking, problem solving and innovation will be a key part of your success.</p> <p>In your second and third years you'll continue to deepen your understanding in electrical engineering and engage in projects to apply your knowledge. A capstone project is run with close ties to industry, with many projects being sponsored by key industry parties.
