Each year the Research School of Accounting &nbsp;('RSA') within the ANU College of Business and Economics may offer one award for every four students, enrolled in an eligible RSA Master Program via a Pre-Master Training Program.&nbsp;

The objective of the award is to support students from Pre-Master Training Programs, from the College's Chinese partner institutions, to enter into postgraduate programs offered by the Research School of Accounting.

Research School of Accounting Pre-Master Scholarship

Overview
The ANU College of Business and Economics National Excellence Award may be awarded to a prospective student who is applying for admission to an undergraduate degree program offered by the College. 
The award will assist domestic students with the cost of studying in an undergraduate coursework program at the College and offers students the chance to be recognised for their academic achievements, meet other scholarship recipients and build strong professional networks.
Field of study
All disciplines at the ANU College of Business and Economics
Eligibility
The award is available to a prospective ANU student who:
<ul><li>is an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen (or dual citizenship holders of either Australia or New Zealand) or Australian humanitarian visa Holder;</li>
<li>has completed a Year 12 qualification in Australia at an Australian High School (or College);</li>
<li>is applying for admission to university for the first time;</li>
<li>has made an application for admission to a single, or a flexible double undergraduate degree program offered by the ANU College of Business and Economics; and</li>
<li>has achieved a minimum ATAR of 95 (excluding bonus points).</li>
</ul>Deferred students who have applied for admission to the ANU in a previous intake, and then formally deferred their offer may still be considered for this award along with the commencing cohort. However, these students will need to contact the College Scholarships Office to request consideration for the award.
Benefits
The scholarship is $5,000 per annum. The award is paid in equal instalments at the beginning of each semester providing the recipient meets the ongoing scholarship eligibility of maintaining a weighted average mark (WAM) of 70% calculated across all courses taken in a semester.
The award payment will align to the recipient's academic study load. For example, 24 unit enrolment constitutes 100% award payment; 18 unit enrolment constitutes 75% award payment, etc.
How to apply
There is no separate application for this scholarship. Students applying through UAC are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions prescribed under the Eligibility section.

ANU College of Business and Economics National Excellence Award

Joseph & Lindsay Croft Memorial Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Whyalla Mental Health Grant is available to students from Whyalla who are enrolled full-time or part-time equivalent in the Graduate Diploma of Mental Health Nursing (IGMG) or Graduate Diploma of Mental Health (IGME).

To be eligible for the grant, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they reside in Whyalla.

Applicants will be asked to submit a personal written statement detailing how the grant would assist them and demonstrating their commitment to mental health nursing.

When selecting a recipient the applicants' Grade Point Averages (GPA) will be taken into account.

Value:&nbsp;

Up to $8,000 over the life of the recipient's program. Paid in two instalments of $4,000 after the Study Period 2 census date, provided the recipient continues to meet the grant criteria and maintains satisfactory academic merit.

Rotary Club of Whyalla Mental Health Grant

The Sydney Ball Friends of the South Australian School of Art Inc International Travel Grant is open to higher degree research students enrolled in the following programs within the School of Art, Architecture and Design whose primary research interest and/or practice is focused in the Art discipline: Masters by Research (Visual Arts); Masters by Research (Design)/Major Studio Project and Visual Communication; Doctor of Philosophy (Visual Arts); or Doctor of Philosophy (Design)/Major Studio Project and Visual Communication.

The grant is designed to assist with the professional development of the award recipient/s in the field of visual arts or design and is to be used to undertake fieldwork outside Australia as part of their higher degree research project.

Sydney Ball Friends of the South Australian School of Art Inc International Travel Grant

Applications are accepted all year round and will remain current for 12 months. Applications will be considered in the next offer round after lodgement and if unsuccessful will be considered in the subsequent offer rounds for the year.

These scholarships are to encourage progression to&nbsp; Honours level, or a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) or Postgraduate study.

The USC Indigenous Scholarship was established in 2011 to support a new or continuing student wishing to pursue Postgraduate studies, an Honours undergraduate qualification or a Higher Degree by Research (HDR).

ELIGIBILITY:

<ul>
	<li>a&nbsp;commencing student (ie. existing students are not eligible)</li>
	<li>must have completed an undergraduate qualification in any discipline</li>
	<li>applicants will be considered ineligible if currently in receipt of another major USC or external scholarship (this does not include bursaries)</li>
</ul>

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Applicants will be assessed based on:

	<li>financial need</li>
	<li>demonstrated involvement within or for indigenous communities</li>
	<li>evidence of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (unless criterion has previously been met)</li>

VALUE:

The scholarship is valued at $4000 for full-time study, to be paid in instalments over 2 semesters (pro-rata for part-time and sessional study). In addition, all course fees and the Student Services and Amenities fee for the relevant semester(s) will be waived.

USC Indigenous Scholarship - Honours, Higher Degree by Research or Postgraduate

Overview
This scholarship is offered by the Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES). The A.E. Ringwood Scholarships are designed to attract students of high calibre to pursue PhD research in Earth Sciences.

Bachelor degree with first-class honours, or a research Master degree from a recognised university; International Students will be considered for this scholarship. Discipline specific.
Benefits
Awardees of this scholarship will have been successful in obtaining a full Tuition Fee Scholarships and an ANU (stipend) Scholarship; which include travel to Canberra; reimbursement of some removal expenses; thesis reimbursement allowance.

A E Ringwood Supplementary Scholarship

Overview

The scholarship is awarded to postgraduate students who are undertaking a Master by coursework or research or a PhD at one of nine participating world-class universities - which include ANU.&nbsp; In addition to demonstrating academic excellence in their own field of study, Westpac Future Leader Scholars will have the desire and potential to become leaders, inspire others and build collaborative networks across disciplines, and have the vision to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Australia.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship, you must:

<ul>
	<li>Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident (New Zealand citizens who are not also Australian citizens are not eligible to apply);</li>
	<li>Have completed an undergraduate degree within the last five years, or will complete in the year of application;</li>
	<li>Have achieved or are on track to achieve an average result of H1 or H2A (or equivalent);</li>
	<li>Have chosen to undertake a Master by coursework or research or a PhD at the ANU with demonstrated world-class capability in the proposed area of study;</li>
	<li>If undertaking a research program, the proposed area of research must be in a field of research with an Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) four-digit Field of Research (FOR) rating of 5.</li>
	<li>Commence study in the year following the year of application;</li>
	<li>Whose proposed program of study and post-study plan must contribute to the future of Australia in at least one of the Westpac Bicentennial Foundation's priority funding areas;
	<ul>
		<li>Technology and innovation</li>
		<li>Strengthening the ties between Australia and Asia</li>
		<li>Enabling positive social change;</li>
	</ul>
	</li>

All applications must be submitted through the Westpac Bicentennial Foundation's online application system. Supporting documentation required as part of the online application:

	<li>A photo (headshot) of the applicant;</li>
	<li>(For PhD or Master by Research applicants only): A letter of support from the applicant's prospective ANU Research School stating that they are eligible to apply for entry into a PhD or Master by Research program, and including the name of the Research Supervisor;</li>
	<li>Certified copy of all university academic transcripts;</li>
	<li>Two references are required using the reference templates which are located on the Westpac Bicentennial website.&nbsp; The referees selected should be people who consent to be contacted by the Foundation:</li>
	<li>The first is an Academic Reference and needs to be completed by a person who is familiar with the applicant's academic record and understands the importance of their study program.</li>
	<li>The second is a Personal Reference and needs to be completed by a person who can demonstrate that the applicant has the attributes of a Westpac Scholar.&nbsp; This can be a previous work colleague or manager, however, should not be a family member or a person who currently or previously reported directly to the applicant;</li>

ANU The Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship

Overview

This scholarship is offered by the Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES) in the ANU College of Science to support a domestic student pursuing a Master of Earth Sciences (Advanced) program which includes coursework and an extensive research project.

Eligibility

The award will be available each year to a domestic student who can demonstrate a history of excellent academic performance.

Benefits

The scholarship provides a stipend of $10,000 per annum for the duration of the program.

How to apply

Students are required to submit the online application form including a one-page statement detailing research interests and motivation for undertaking this program. Applications open from 31st May to 30th November each year

John and Kerry Lovering Scholarship

Overview: The objective of the scholarship is to attract high-calibre students into the Research School of Management Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Business Administration (Advanced) programs. Building upon management experience and prior learning, the Masters programs provide middle managers with essential business and management knowledge and skills to advance into, and thrive in, senior management roles.

Field of study: Management, Marketing, International Business, Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Eligibility: available each year to a prospective ANU student who:

<ul>
	<li>is a domestic or international student; and</li>
	<li>has been offered admission into a full-time or part-time MBA or MBA (Advanced) program offered by the Research School of Management.</li>
</ul>

Selection: Selection is made on the basis of work experience and academic merit. Other factors such as diversity and inclusion and Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) results, if available, will also be taken into account.

The Research School of Management will identify specific diversity categories each year, based on the needs to enrich student cohort and learning, aligned with the University's education strategies and goals. The specific diversity categories will be decided by the Selection Committee and will be published on the Research School of Management website.

Benefits: The scholarship will cover a percentage (25%, 50%, 75% or 100%)&nbsp; of the student tuition fee for the duration of the Master of Business Administration or the Master of Business Administration (Advanced) programs.

The scholarship will be applied to the recipient's Domestic Student Fees (DSF), or International Student Fees (ISF), as applicable, at the beginning of each semester, unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer

Research School of Management Master of Business Administration Scholarship

The Lady Anita Smith PhD Sponsorship will be available to students enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Adelaide undertaking research in aerospace related topics and meeting the following objectives of the Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith Fund (“the Smith Fund”) : "advancement in the State of South Australia of the science of aeronautics and of education therein".

The purpose of The Lady Anita Smith Sponsorship is to provide funding for PhD students to travel overseas to a university, institute or company. The travel must benefit their PhD research project.&nbsp; Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents of Australia.

The holder of the Sponsorship must be enrolled as a full-time PhD candidate and must have successfully completed their CCSP before the intended travel date.&nbsp; Postgraduate students intending to go abroad for research purposes will need to make separate application for Study Leave. Donor: Dr Frances Innes BDSc (1907), Australia's first female BDSc graduate, who created an annual prize in Conservative Dental Surgery.

To the student with the highest weighted average mark in the subjects Clinical Dental Practice 4 and 5, (DENT90078 and DENT90079 and Comprehensive Dental Practice 1 and 2 DENT90084 and DENT90085. These four subjects are the closest equivalent subjects to the original subject, Conservative Dental Surgery.

Frances Gray Prize

If you are undertaking a PhD program by research in the area of science, engineering or technology and have been awarded an RTP Stipend Scholarship (RSS) from RMIT, this scholarship can provide you with further financial assistance.
Value and duration
The scholarship provides $12,000 per annum for the standard duration of the RTP scholarship awarded to you.

Terms and conditions

<ol><li>Cannot complete their postgraduate research as outlined in their successful application</li>

Professor Robert & Josephine Shanks Scholarship

This grant is available to assist research candidates with travel costs associated with research-related activities that will enhance their thesis.

Research-related activities may include the following:

<ul>
	<li>presenting at a conference</li>
	<li>data collection, including conducting interviews in a field location</li>
	<li>travel to utilise equipment or resources not available at RMIT University</li>
	<li>access specialist archives, museums, libraries and galleries.</li>
</ul>

Value and duration

HDR candidates are able to receive up to $2000 during their candidature. This funding can be awarded as either:

<ul>
	<li>one travel grant, up to $2000 for a conference or research-related activity OR data collection, including conducting interviews in a field location</li>
	<li>two travel grants, up to $1000 each for a conference or research-related activity.</li>
</ul>

Eligibility and selection criteria

To be eligible to apply for, and receive, a HDR Travel Grant you must:

<ul>
	<li>be currently enrolled in an RMIT Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) program;</li>
	<li>have received a successful outcome for your Confirmation of Candidature*;</li>
	<li>have successfully completed your most recent milestone;</li>
	<li>not be identified as ‘at risk’; and</li>
	<li>not have submitted for examination.</li>
</ul>

You must ensure you have permission from your senior supervisor to undertake research related travel prior to submitting your application. If approved for a research travel grant, your travel must take place after receiving approval.

If applying to present at a conference, evidence of acceptance of your peer-reviewed conference papers, abstracts or posters must be submitted prior to your specified travel date.

Prior to travel dates, you are expected to:

<ul>
	<li>not have any overdue milestones*</li>
	<li>not be on a leave of absence.</li>
</ul>

* Please note that review and approval of your milestone presentations can take up to four to six weeks (no special consideration will be available for candidates who have applied for travel grants within the milestone approval process). You are responsible for checking your milestone status in myRMIT and following up with your HDR administrator regarding any milestones that are reflecting as overdue.

Additional requirements (if presenting at a conference):

If applying to conduct research related activities or fieldwork you must provide details of the research activities that will be pursued during this fieldwork. It must be relevant to your research, but does not have to lead directly to a research output such as a publication or conference paper.

You will be considered ineligible for the HDRTG if:

<ul>
	<li>you do not meet the criteria listed above</li>
	<li>you submit a late or incomplete application</li>
	<li>your application is deemed high risk of breaching Australian and/or International law</li>
	<li>you have JRE Cadetship funding available to you.</li>
</ul>

Closing dates

HDR Travel Grant applications are assessed on a monthly basis and close on the last day of each month.

It normally takes 4 weeks from each closing date for applications to be assessed and outcomes to be issued. We recommend that applications be submitted at least three months prior to travel to allow for these assessment timelines.

Successful recipients of the HDRTG must travel in accordance with&nbsp;RMIT Travel Policy.

If awarded this grant, you must:

<ul>
	<li>lodge your travel arrangements through your home school, via the&nbsp;RMIT Travel Portal</li>
	<li>ensure any travel bookings are made through the&nbsp;RMIT preferred travel suppliers, CT Connections or Voyager</li>
	<li>seek advice from RMIT International Compliance prior to undertaking any research related travel, if you are an international student</li>
	<li>ensure you comply withAustralian&nbsp;and the laws of the jurisdiction you are travelling to</li>
	<li>maintain regular contact with your supervisor while travelling</li>
	<li>submit a request in writing to your supervisor and School HDR administrator (copying in SGR at&nbsp;<a href="mailto:sgr.scholarships@rmit.edu.au">sgr.scholarships@rmit.edu.au</a>) if you wish to amend details of your approved travel.</li>
	<li>notify your supervisor and School HDR administrator (copying in SGR at&nbsp;<a href="mailto:sgr.scholarships@rmit.edu.au">sgr.scholarships@rmit.edu.au</a>) immediately if you can no longer undertake your approved travel.</li>
</ul>

Candidates who make travel plans outside of the terms and conditions cannot seek reimbursement from this travel grant.

Further information

Successful candidates will not be paid directly for the HDRTG. The School of Graduate Research will transfer approved funding to your home school, for use against your travel booking.

Travel to countries or regions where a&nbsp;<a href="http://www.smartraveller.gov.au/zw-cgi/view/Advice/" target="_blank">Department of Foreign Affairs</a>&nbsp;(DFAT) warning displays the following: ‘Reconsider your need to travel’ or ‘Do Not Travel’ will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and all applications that fall into this category will require prior approval from the Dean, School of Graduate Research, regardless of whether the country you are travelling to is your home country.

The HDR Travel Grant cannot be transferred to another university.

Higher Degree by Research Travel Grant (HDRTG)

The Fund was established by the Family, friends and colleagues of Shirley Gilliver, a Senior Tutor in the School of Behavioural Sciences, who died in a road accident returning to Townsville from the Cairns campus on 22 April 1991. The Fund was established to promote the study of social welfare policy and problems of rural North Queensland.

<li>a Masters of Social Work;</li>
<li>a Masters of Social Work (PQ)</li>
<li>a Masters of Social Policy; or</li>
<li>a Doctorate undertaking research in rural communities.</li>

The value of the grants shall be determined by the Selection Committee determine from time to time based on the available income of the Fund, as advised by the Director of Resources.

Shirley Gilliver Memorial Fund Grant

Established in 1975 from a bequest from the estate of the late Dr Robert Logan, Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry at the University from 1968 to 1973, the income derived from the bequest maintains the awards.

The Robert Logan Memorial Grants shall be open to:
<ul><li>Any full time or part time Honours or postgraduate students in the discipline of Biochemistry at James Cook University; and</li>
<li>Not previously received this bursary during their current course of study.</li>
</ul>What would I receive?
The value of the travelling bursary will be determined by the Selection Committee from time to time, to a total not exceeding $14,000 in one year. The bursary will provide assistance to honours and post-graduate students in the Discipline of Molecular and Cell Biology in the following areas:
<ul><li>travelling grants to attend biochemically-oriented meetings or conferences approved by the Selection Committee;</li>
<li>travelling grants to visit other Australian university departments with similar interests, where this travel is essential to further the candidates' research work; or</li>
<li>grants to assist honours and post-graduate students in the purchase of maintenance items necessary for their research work.</li>
</ul>

Robert Logan Memorial Bursary

The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are the Australian Government's competitive, merit-based scholarships and fellowships providing opportunities for Australians to undertake study, research or professional development overseas and for overseas citizens to do the same in Australia.
The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships aim to build Australia's reputation for excellence in the provision of education and research, support the internationalisation of the Australian higher education and research sectors and offer high-achieving individuals from overseas and Australia opportunities to increase their productivity and expertise in their field.
The program provides opportunities for Australian postgraduate students, and postdoctoral researchers to undertake international research and professional development in an eligible country overseas. It also supports university staff, including general and administrative university staff to undertake professional development overseas under an Endeavour Executive Fellowship.
International applicants are supported to undertake a full Masters or PhD qualification, as well short-term research at your university. The program is an excellent opportunity for research schools to develop international research linkages.
