Situated in the Australia Technology Park (Australia's Silicon Valley) we have a special focus on inculcating values that promote innovation and commitment to find and make a better way. Australia's tertiary education regulator TEQSA (Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency) has granted IMC partial self-accreditation authority ("SAA") in the broad field of education Management and Commerce, which covers the Australian Qualification Framework from Level 5 (Diploma) to Level 9 (Masters degrees) courses offered at IMC.

IMC is just one of twelve Australian private providers to be awarded this status. By participating in professional work experience during their studies, IMC students learn to apply their academic training as well as develop teamwork and leadership capabilities.

<h4>Applying for postgraduate study</h4>

If you want to further your career or want a completely different career, Flinders has a range of postgraduate courses to help you realise your full potential.

Many of its postgraduate courses are nested meaning if you enrol in a Masters and do not complete it – but do complete the nested Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma – you may exit with that qualification.

Most graduate entry bachelor degrees, graduate certificates and graduate diplomas require a three-year undergraduate degree from an Australian university or equivalent.

The normal minimum requirement for masters or PhD candidature is a four-year honours degree or equivalent, with Second Class Honours (2A) or better, or a coursework masters with a distinction average.

There are also minimum entry requirements for each course. But if you don’t meet the requirements you may be admitted (subject to specific conditions) at the discretion of the faculty offering the course.

Overseas qualifications need to be equivalent to the above to be considered for entry.

TasTAFE is a stable, state-owned asset that operates under its own legislative functions and powers under the&nbsp;Training and Workforce Development Act 2013.

It is the largest public provider of vocational education and training in Tasmania, and is governed by an independent Statutory Board consisting of up to seven members appointed by the Minister for Education and Training.

Each year we have around 22,000 enrolments, including around 5000 apprentices, with trade apprentice numbers continuing to grow. We offer more than 200 nationally accredited and industry-endorsed qualifications ranging from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma level, as well as short courses and skill sets across more than 30 industry areas.

Being Government owned brings many benefits such as a modern network of 16 campuses and contemporary training facilities, and experienced teachers who have industry currency and competency. Our non-teaching managers and support staff also have the highest expectations placed upon their work.

TasTAFE has an ongoing commitment to meeting Tasmanian community expectations and the needs of all of our students, and offers a range of flexible study options and support services.
