The University of the Philippines (UP) is the country’s national university. This premier institution of higher learning was established in 1908 and is now a university system composed of eight constituent universities located in 17 campuses all over the archipelago.

UP Diliman&nbsp;offers the most number of undergraduate and graduate degree programs and is composed of almost 50 percent of the entire UP System student population.&nbsp;

<a href="http://www.upv.edu.ph/upv/">UP Visayas,</a>&nbsp;with its three campuses in Iloilo City, Iloilo; Miag-ao, Iloilo; and Tacloban, Leyte, is the acknowledged authority in marine science education and research, fisheries, and aquaculture in the country. Apart from its focus on the sciences, this constituent university also prioritizes the preservation and enrichment of Visayan cultural heritage.

<a href="https://www.upou.edu.ph/home/">UP Open University</a>&nbsp;is the pioneer institution in distance education and open learning in the Philippines. While its base of operations is in Los Baños, Laguna, it is basically a virtual university—providing quality education to students in the country and abroad who are not able to attend conventional colleges and universities due to personal or professional constraints.&nbsp;

<a href="http://www.upmin.edu.ph/">UP Mindanao</a>&nbsp;is the only UP constituent university in Mindanao with the primary mandate to provide equitable access to quality UP education to Mindanaoans. It offers academic programs in the fields of the humanities, architecture, mathematics, food, economics, social, natural, and computing sciences.&nbsp;

<a href="http://www.upb.edu.ph/">UP Baguio&nbsp;</a>attained its status as constituent university in 2002. It is a leading institution in the areas of science and mathematics, social sciences, and the humanities in Northern Philippines.

<a href="http://upcebu.edu.ph/">UP Cebu</a>, formerly one of the UP Visayas campuses, became an autonomous college under the UP Office of the President in September 2010.&nbsp;

Xavier operates on five campuses: (1) the Agriculture extension called Manresa Farm Complex, (2) the Jose Alvarez Technology Complex of the Center for Integrated Technologies, (3) the High School and Grade School Annex in Pueblo de Oro, (4) the Grade School campus in Macasandig, and (5) the main Tertiary campus on Corrales Avenue.

The main campus houses the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Nursing, Engineering, Agriculture, and Computer Studies, as well as the schools of Business &amp; Management, Education, and Graduate programs, and the professional schools of Law and Medicine. Temporarily, while construction of a Senior High School building is on the works, the main campus is also home to the Senior High School. The University of St. La Salle is an autonomous higher education institution recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) –a distinction held since 2001; and inline with our commitment in providing quality education and academic excellence, our academic programs have been submitted for external assessment, evaluation, and validation by notable private and public agencies. To date, the College of Business and Accountancy, College of Arts and Science, and College of Education, has been granted Level IV accreditation by PAASCU, the highest accreditation level for undergraduate programs.

Campus

The school's 10-hectare main campus in La Salle Avenue houses the university's college and graduate school units. The USLS Health Sciences Campus, located at Lacson St., is an additional facility for students under its&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nursing">Nursing</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medicine">Medicine</a>&nbsp;program. Its other campus, the 55-hectare Granada Campus, is home to the&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agribusiness">Agribusiness</a>&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farm">Farm</a>&nbsp;and the Science Ecological Park, which caters to its Agribusiness students.

Liceo–De La Salle Senior High School -&nbsp;The Liceo–De La Salle Senior High School is located within the USLS La Salle Avenue (main) campus and offers grades 11 and 12. The senior high school program started in 2016 in compliance with the K-12 program of the national government

Integrated School Campuses -&nbsp;The university allotted PHP200 million for the construction of a new campus for the Integrated School in Brgy. Mandalagan with lot donated by the Alunan family.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_St._La_Salle#cite_note-5">[5]</a>&nbsp;The original Integrated School in the Montelibano campus, which had about 2,000 I.S. students, was already congested. The new campus features two four-storey buildings and can accommodate up to 4,000 students. Construction of the first phase was completed in 2015.

The University of St. La Salle, a non-stock and non-profit corporation, was established in 1952 by three American Brothers under the Philippine Province of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, an international institute of religious Brothers dedicated to the human and Christian education of the young, especially the poor.

Baguio Colleges, as the University of the Cordilleras was earlier known, pioneered in tertiary education in the mountain highlands of the Cordillera region amidst devastation in and around Baguio City after the Second World War.

Today, the University of the Cordilleras caters to more than 18,000 students coming from the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Regions I and II, neighboring provinces of Luzon. In addition, UC has the largest population of international students among HEIs in Baguio City represented by 37 nationalities. Programs offered now range from basic education to graduate studies, law, arts and sciences, business and accountancy, nursing, teacher education, information technology and computer science, hospitality and tourism, and criminal justice.
