This course is ideally suited to doctors, nurses and paramedics of diverse backgrounds looking to expand their skills and knowledge to include the ability to provide healthcare in remote and extreme environments. You'll further enhance your knowledge and skills to plan, organise and deliver healthcare in these environments while having the opportunity to complete the course flexibly, online and part-time.
We also offer the opportunity to enhance learning outcomes by undertaking units with residential and practical components while you study. Built for the realities of the busy working professional, this course is designed to be studied part-time.
Applicants with higher education study
Completed nationally accredited health professional degree, at AQF7 including medicine, nursing and paramedicine, from an Australian higher education provider or equivalent overseas qualification,
AND at least 2 years of health professional experience,
AND some professional or life experience in a remote / extreme environment as specified by the College of Health and Medicine
or
Completed nationally accredited health professional degree at AQF7 (other than medicine, nursing or paramedicine), including exercise science, dentistry or physiotherapy
AND at least 2 years remote clinical experience as specified by the College of Health and Medicine
Applicants with work and life experience
This course does not accept applications based on work or life experience

Please note that the course is online but some units contain face-to-face intensives that will require travel at the student's cost.
