Graduate Diploma
The Postgraduate Diploma in Science offers those with some background in science the opportunity to undertake more advanced and in-depth study in a subject. Over 20 subjects are available, and some can only be studied at postgraduate level, which can allow for specialisation and career pathways for graduates.
The Diploma is primarily coursework-based, but some courses allow for independent project work or research.
You will need a Bachelor of Science, or any bachelor's degree with approved undergraduate science courses. The precise prerequisites vary for each major subject, but are normally at least a B- Grade Point Average in 300-level courses.
If English is your additional language, you are also required to meet UC's English language requirements.
For the full entry requirements, see the Regulations for the Postgraduate Diploma in Science or use the admission requirements checker.
You can apply online at myUC. Find out more about how to apply for graduate and postgraduate qualifications.
Postgraduate study can bring many career benefits eg, specialist skills and enhanced knowledge, entry into specific occupations, higher starting salary/progression rates, research capability/achievement, and evidence of high academic attainment/self-discipline.
