Lead the way in the educational sector

This course provides graduates from a wide range of educational contexts with the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills crucial to the role of education leaders in the 21st century. Your studies will focus on the global context of education and provide you with the know-how to develop and manage individuals, teams and organisations and in your final unit, you'll be able to draw on your professional experience to complete an individual project report that will allow your research capabilities to shine.

Study a Master of Educational Leadership and Management at UC and you will:
  • develop an appreciation of leadership and management theories, current research and practice in a broad range of educational contexts
  • explore various developmental evaluation approaches and critically examine their roles in building learning capacity in order to contribute to continuous improvement in educational organisations
  • review the major debates, theories and movements in comparative and international education, including in different parts of the world
  • identify global educational trends and challenges in the twenty first century and develop skills that will enable you to link them into global education networks.

Course specific information

Students need to have a recognised Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelors degree or equivalent and a minimum of three year's relevant work experience. In addition, students must have:

  • successfully completed of Hangzhou Normal University's English language preparation course
  • an undergraduate degree in education or a related area
    a minimum three year's work experience in education, education administration or public administration
  • successfully completed at least four Masters units at Hangzhou Normal University.

Entry requirements

Entry to the Master of Educational Leadership and Management normally requires the possession of a recognised Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Bachelors degree or recognised equivalent and a minimum of three years relevant work experience. In addition, entry to the Master of Educational Leadership and Management requires that a student must have:

(a) successfully completed of Hangzhou Normal University's English language preparation course;
(b) an undergraduate degree in education or a related area;
(c) a minimum three years work experience in education, education administration or public administration; and
(d) successfully completed at least four Masters units at Hangzhou Normal University.

Assumed knowledge

Experience in and understanding of at least one education setting.
