Course structure

The Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering caters to professionals who are seeking to advance their knowledge. This is a flexible programme so you can structure your learning around your interests; either by selecting courses within the general areas of engineering or refining your study to a specific field of expertise. The certificate can be awarded unendorsed, or endorsed in one of the specialisations listed further below.

Engineering General (unendorsed)

Of the 60 points required for the PGCertEng a student must pass four courses (60 points) selected from courses in one or more of the schedules for the Master of Civil Engineering, Master of Engineering Studies or Master of Professional Engineering, excluding dissertation, research portfolio and research project courses.

Specialisations (endorsed)

Of the 60 points required for the PGCertEng a student must pass a minimum of three courses (45 points) from one of the specialisations listed below and one course (15 points) from other relevant courses; selected from the schedules for the Master of Civil Engineering, Master of Engineering Studies or Master of Professional Engineering, excluding dissertation, research portfolio and research project courses.
