The PGCertAPM will take one semester to complete full-time, or two semesters to complete part-time.
You will need to complete the following:
- ARCHGEN 704
- ARCHPRM 702
- Two courses selected from: ARCHPRM 700, 701, 703, 704, ARCHTECH 706-710, URBPLAN 721
A student who has not completed ARCHRPM 305 or equivalent courses must complete ARCHPRM 700 or 701 as part of their degree.
A student admitted to this programme must complete the University of Auckland Academic Integrity Course.
Assessment is based on 100% coursework consisting of individual and group assignments and presentations, with a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars and self-directed study.
All courses in the PGCertAPM will apply a mix of formative and summative assessments including:
- Verbal and written feedback from critique and presentations.
- Graded assessment on written assignments.
- Peer and self-assessments.
The PGCertAPM comprises a mix of teaching and delivery methods, including classroom-based lectures and peer presentations, experienced guest speakers from the architectural and building industry, office and site visits, group discussions and question and answer sessions.
This diverse mode of delivery will enable a broad combination of different learning approaches to meet individual students' needs. Students will receive valuable exposure to relevant contemporary developments in thinking and practice, including first-hand experiences from industry projects and practice management professionals.
