This nationally recognised qualification will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to assemble, install, maintain and repair industrial, commercial and domestic air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.

Our skilled teaching team will guide you in applying environmental and sustainable procedures in the energy sector while adhering to WHS codes and practices in the workplace.

You will learn how to problem-solve, diagnose and rectify faults in air conditioning and refrigeration control systems and components, commission air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and establish basic operation conditions of air-conditioning and vapour compression systems. You'll also learn about regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants

On successful completion of this course, you will have the skills you need to seek employment as a qualified Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, and have the opportunity to apply for a full ARCTIK

Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Handling licence in order to operate as an Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic within Australia.

This course is only available as an Australian Apprenticeship. You must have employment as an apprentice to enrol in this qualification.
