The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety will provide you with the practical knowledge and skills designed to help improve safety in your workplace. If you are interested in building your knowledge in this vital area or pursuing an exciting career as a Safety Advisor, WHS assessor, WHS Officer or WHS Supervisor, this is the course for you!
Key subjects covered in this course are; Effective risk management, application of relevant WHS/OHS regulations and legislative framework, contribution to WHS/OHS consultation within the workplace, incident and emergency response, contractor compliance, rehabilitation and return to work.
The qualification is designed to give participants practical knowledge and skills to help improve safety in the workplace.

The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is a pathway to the BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety (not offered at TAFE Gippsland).
On successful completion of the course learners will be able to provide WHS advice in accordance with current legislation. Learners will gain the skills to facilitate effective WHS consultation and outcomes for their organisation. Students will also gain the knowledge and skills needed to help reduced risk profile of any organisation and assist others with the return to work process.
