Do you have a passion for photography? Do you want to take your skills to the next level? Then a Certificate III in Visual Arts is the perfect course to hone your skills and learn new ways to visually communicate.
Delivered face-to-face one per week at our Yallourn Campus, this course will give you skills in photography and digital imaging, as well as teaching you design principles in capturing images and how to edit them like a pro.
You'll learn how to apply a broad range of technical skills in photo imaging, including lighting, image capture, enhancements and manipulation and output in retail, commercial, domestic portrait, media, illustrative, institutional and art photography work environments. It also provides a pathway to other photography and photo imaging job roles.

Progress to higher level qualification; students may undertake and/or apply for Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging and Diploma in Photography and Photo Imaging as well as Certificate IV in Visual Art or Diploma of Visual Art or Bachelor of Visual Art. (Not offered at TAFE Gippsland) This may extend broadly into other courses both in higher education, private college education and VET sectors. Students should check course entry requirements for relevant courses. Completion of Certificate III in Visual Arts CUA31120 does not guarantee students a place in any subsequent course.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing a range of visual art skills and who may take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning. It applies to work in different visual arts, craft and design environments. Practice at this level is underpinned by the application of introductory art theory and history.
