Designed for students who have an apprenticeship and want to learn as much as possible about the bricklaying industry, this course will teach you how to plan and set out bricklaying/block laying projects, understand and use specific materials and equipment, interpret plans and accurately measure jobs of any size. You'll also get to choose from a huge range of electives that will tailor your studies perfectly to your career goals.
Taking your career further might mean studying a Certificate III in Carpentry to further add to your skillset and give you more employment opportunities in the future - even self-employment!
Again, this course is for apprentices only so you must have a current employer at the time of enrolment.

CPC40120 Certificate IV In Building And Construction (Building)

CPC33020 Certificate III in Brick laying/Block laying offers the following skills and knowledge:
Communication with clients, colleagues and others using clear and direct forms of communication whilst actively listening and identifying and confirming requirements for the task or the job to be carried out. Obtaining and understanding all relevant trade and technical terms, symbols and abbreviations and language used for this particular field of work, working as part of a team, providing assistance and encouragement to other team members, utilising specialist skills that are part of the team and using these strengths to the best of their abilities. Ensures at all times that equipment is checked regularly and up to date meeting site and job requirements and where applicable hazards are reported and documented. The qualification provides a trade outcome in bricklaying and block laying.
