This Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance is delivered to school students as part of a two-year VET DSS program.
Reflecting the role of health workers who assist allied health professionals in their provision of quality care to clients, you will learn about preparing for and assisting with therapy sessions, providing relevant information to clients, using therapy equipment correctly and safely and completing administrative tasks.

This course will enable you to start your career in allied health, working in areas such as physiotherapy, speech pathology and podiatry. You will learn how to implement treatment plans and therapeutic solutions, working under the direct or indirect supervision of allied health professionals.
You will need to complete 80 hours of placement (completed in the workplace for traineeships) and can use this program to pathway into Diploma of Nursing and/or other health disciplines once you complete secondary school.

You will learn about preparing for and assisting with therapy sessions, providing relevant information to clients, using therapy equipment correctly and safely and completing administrative tasks. Work may include following treatment plans for therapeutic interventions and/or conducting programs under the regular direct, indirect or remote supervision of an allied health professional.
