The Certificate I in Work Education is intended to support post compulsory school aged learners with evidence of a permanent cognitive impairment / intellectual disability to develop the skills to explore work options and access pathways to further specify vocational education and training. It supports learners to improve their employability and work readiness, while building confidence in a supported environment.

The Certificate I in Work Education will improve your language and literacy skills, allowing you to develop your confidence and get ready to find meaningful work. You will gain basic employability skills in exciting ways, including work placements, excursions and new experiences as you try out different industries and see what works for you.
Learners will investigate a range of industries, volunteer organisations and employment support services as part of their Individual Learning Plans to establish appropriate employment options / pathways
22481VIC Certificate II in Work Education
Students doing this course will obtain knowledge regarding: community involvement, OH&S, understanding rights and responsibilities, identifying and accessing support in a variety of areas and exploring post course options. Develop personal management skills, communication skills, literacy, numeracy, problem solving and team work skills as well as being able to access technology to obtain information and resources.
