About this course

The Master of Project Management (Advanced) takes an entrepreneurial perspective to provide a unique focus on managing complex, high risk and innovative projects.

This postgraduate program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain specialised entrepreneurship and innovation knowledge through research. In the research component, students have the opportunity to apply and extend the knowledge gained throughout their studies by understanding and applying the research process. This option is intended for students who want to focus on a particular area of their career or consultancy, or as preparation for their PhD.

The Master of Project Management (Advanced) forms the final stage in a nested suite of programs consisting of:

Graduate Certificate of Project Management
Graduate Diploma of Project Management ^
Master of Project Management
Master of Project Management (Advanced) (MA-PMADV)

^ Students are unable to enrol directly into the Graduate Diploma however it is available as an exit award. (Not available by Admission)

A student cannot be awarded two masters level courses from the same nested suite.

Course structure

To qualify for the award of Master of Project Management (Advanced), students must complete 200 credit points:

10 core units (125 credit points)
6 elective units (75 credit points)

NB: Students who select unit BUS80021 (25 credit points) will only need to complete 5 elective units (75 credit points in total).Maximum Academic CreditThe maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Master of Project Management (Advanced) is 100 credit points (normally eight units)
