This Master of Business Administration (Executive) (Advanced) course focuses on leadership and change, strategic thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship, finance and ethical practices and social responsibility to equip graduates for career satisfaction and success.

The course has a strong focus on solutions to business scenarios and is designed to equip students with the capacity to start new ventures or initiate organisational improvements successfully and to assist students to transition into higher executive management roles with a focus on achieving innovation and business success.

This postgraduate program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain specialised business and administration knowledge through research. In the research component, students have the opportunity to apply and extend the knowledge gained throughout their studies by understanding and applying the research process. This option is intended for students who want to focus on a particular area of their career or consultancy, or as preparation for their PhD.

Our Master of Business Administration (Executive) (Advanced) is focused on developing students' capabilities to operate in organisationally critical domains of practice that we have identified as fundamental to their own and their organisations' success in today's turbulent environment. These domains of practice are not the same as subjects or streams. They can play out across many subjects and are:

The Master of Business Administration (Executive) (Advanced) forms the third stage in a four-stage nested suite of programs consisting of:

^ Students are unable to enrol directly into the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration (Executive) but it is available as an exit award.
 
This course is for working professionals. That's why we offer it in Intensive Mode. It's an efficient and faster way to complete a postgraduate qualification with minimal impact on your professional and personal life. Units (subjects) are either delivered after work hours or on Fridays or Saturdays, and run throughout the year in six week teaching periods instead of the usual 12 week semesters.
This means you can complete more units and graduate faster, or take breaks when you need to.

Course structure

To qualify for the award of Master of Business Administration (Executive) (Advanced), students must complete 200 credit points comprising of:

  • 11 core units (137.5 credit points)
  • 5 elective units (62.5 credit points)

OR

  • 11 core units (137.5 credit points)
  • 2 research option units (37.5 credit points)
  • 2 elective units (25 credit points)

Students can only take out one masters level award from a nested suite of postgraduate courses. Maximum Academic CreditThe maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Master of Business Administration (Executive) (Advanced) is 100 credit points (normally eight units)

Credit for prior study or work
