This on-campus course has been developed in consultation with industry to meet the need for trained workers in legal administration beyond entry level. Swinburne has excellent contacts with industry and employers and the course includes an optional 10-day practical placement.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan and carry out work in a legal context in accordance with legislation, regulations and codes of practice relevant to the different jurisdictions.
The course consists of four core and six elective units. The six electives were chosen after consulting with the industry association, the Institute of Legal Executives.
Credit is granted in recognition of previous study and/or experience and allows students to gain advanced standing towards their course. Applicants are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Learn more about credit.
