The Bachelor of Accounting allows students to develop skills that are fundamental to evaluating, analysing and communicating the financial position of an organisation or individual. The Bachelor of Accounting is designed to prepare individuals in the core areas of financial accounting, management accounting, finance, tax and auditing, in addition to economics and company law.
To comply with the National Threshold Learning Standards for accounting, the teaching and learning activities and assessment tasks in the course are designed to instil a range of skills including oral, communication, presentation, critical analysis, problem solving and group work skills. Students with studies in Accounting find rewarding work in industry, commerce, the public sector, the financial industry or business consulting and public accounting.
