Early childhood research has consistently provided evidence that the experiences and environments of children in the early years are important for strong social-emotional development and positive learning outcomes through school and into adulthood, and influence children's health and wellbeing across their lives. Because of increased recognition of the importance of the early years to later outcomes, there is increased demand for highly trained professionals who can specifically support the diverse learning needs of young children.
This course enables professionals working in early education and care settings, schools, child protection or family services, and other relevant contexts to enhance their knowledge of working with young children, their families and communities.
