About this course

Overview

This major is designed for qualified teachers who are interested in upskilling in HASS. You'll learn the pedagogy/curriculum of HASS, including the principles and practices of teaching and learning HASS from Years 7-10 in History, Civics, Geography, Economics and Business.

A key focus will be placed on teaching strategies, curriculum planning and the creation of learning resources and assessments. You'll develop resource portfolios on allocated topics of work which will include a variety of learning experiences that draw links to educational theories and practices.

You'll also be able to take your knew-found knowledge and apply it in simulated lessons with our SimLab technology before reflecting on your experiences.
