Certificate
The Certificate IV in School-Based Education Support empowers you with the skills needed to work in diverse educational and school environments, where you'll provide crucial assistance to teachers in facilitating students' learning under comprehensive supervision.
Learners must be 18 years or older at the time of program commencement.
Learners must be able to participate in assessable industry placements to successfully complete the course. A current Working With Children Check card is a requirement for placement. Some criminal convictions may prevent an applicant from obtaining a Working With Children Check card and therefore they will not be able to complete the course.
Candidates are required to participate in a Pre-Training Review and individual interview.
Candidates must be able to physically complete the Practicum requirements of this course.
Candidates must present evidence of COVID-19 vaccination to be eligible for on campus studies and practical placement in an Education and Care service.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Simulated assessment environments must simulate the real-life working environment where these skills and knowledge would be performed, with all the relevant equipment and resources of that working environment.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
