Certificate
The Certificate IV in Engineering- Welding Pathway is a post-trade course developed for existing engineering tradespeople seeking post-trade, higher-level engineering skills to advance their career within the Engineering industry, specialising in welding. Studying this will give you enhanced career opportunities in fields associated with fabrication and welding.
To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.
While there is no qualification entry requirement, it is assumed the learner is either already a tradesperson with access to structured on- and off-the-job training.
It is recommended that applicants have completed Year 11 or equivalent, due to the literacy and numeracy requirements of engineering studies.
It is recommended that learners wanting to enrol in this qualification contact the Engineering department to discuss the entry requirements.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
