Entry requirements

Minimum age requirement 17 year and older and must have completed year 11.

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training applicants are required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training review. These will assist with determining suitability to the course, verify the training plan and identify any learning support needs. Student Services and the Disability Support Unit are available by appointment to offer counselling and assistance to learners

Students may enter with no prior study OR having completed a clothing and textiles based qualification including:
MST20616/MST30819 Certificate II or III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology,
MST30119 Certificate III in Clothing and Textile Production

Upon completion of this qualification, you will have gained the skills and knowledge to operate specialised machinery to construct samples and garments, apply industry standard quality assurance criteria to your work, understand the design process, make patterns and use digital design technology as a design communication tool.

As a graduate of this course you may be employed in a variety of roles using your specialised technical skills and capability to work in the clothing production sector or to supervise others in a small business enterprise or production facility.
